EMEA Public Sector is looking for an accomplished Business Development Manager to drive growth strategies for customers in Europe, specifically focusing on the European funding programs.
As a Business Development Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future – working across different AWS and Amazon, qualifying opportunities, facilitating engagements utilizing Amazon mechanisms and driving resultant prototypes and scaled solutions. In addition, you’ll be among a group of people who want to have fun, work hard and make history.

Key job responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include working closely with the sales, technical, consulting, advisory and solutions team to build mid to long-term Go-To-Market strategies focusing on market penetration within this segment.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and lead engagements with customers and partners on how AWS can best support them to deliver value added solutions for the EU Recovery & Resilience and other EU funding programs. You will work with additional stakeholder teams supporting the Partner (APN), Capture, Public Policy, Legal, PR and Marketing. You also will work with sales team to capture and qualify immediate opportunities within the EU funding programs.

The ideal candidate will have a business development or consulting background with experience working with public sector at the senior executive level, and a good understanding of legacy and emerging technologies in the industry. They should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. They should have a proven track record of driving multiple simultaneous projects to meet customer business objectives, excellent project management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong data and metrics bias, a background in working with Intergovernmental institutions and a good understanding of cloud solutions, and a passion for helping customers transform using cloud technologies.
